Fallout Art & Music Festival 2011
featuring
A Giant 16 foot mural
by hundreds of painters from Eastern South Dakota

The Fallout Creative Community will feature a giant 16 foot mural at the Fallout Art & Music Festival on September 17. The mural was painted by hundred of artists at several events throughout the summer. The original design was created by Fallout director, Dan Cleberg and then drawn on pieces to be painted at each event. The mural went on the Fallout Art & Music Party Tour and sections were painted in Vermillion, Sioux Falls, Brookings and Watertown. Sections were also painted at Northern State University for the Art Club's Artapolooza event, The Presentation Sister's 125th Anniversary Celebration, The Fallout's May Art & Bicycle Spectacle, Youth Leadership Forum (A camp for students with disabilities), the Americans with Disabilities Annual Picnic and Zion Cleberg's Birthday Party (Dan's daughter).

The bottom portion of the mural will be completed by festival attendees on Saturday September 17th 2011.

Local artists Ben Grote, Jake Bosmoe, Matt Crane and Matt Schaeffer teamed up with Cleberg to put the mural together and give it a cohesive look with outlines and tints.
